This week the State and Federal Government announced payments for workers and business who have been impacted by the current COVID-19 lockdown and restrictions.
If You’re An Employee
Workers will be able to apply for a $375 weekly payment if they have lost between 8 and 20 hours of work per week, and a $600 weekly payment if they have lost more than 20 hours of work per week. These are available through Services Australia and by calling 180 22 66. To claim online please go to this web address and follow the prompts.

If You’re A Business
A new package will be available to businesses with a turnover of between $75,000 and $50 million a year, who can apply for a payment of between $10,000 and $50,000. You will be able to apply for these through the Service NSW website.
For businesses with turnover between $30,000 and $75,000, who have seen 30% reduction in turnover, you will receive $1500 per fortnight. You will be able to apply for these through the Service NSW website.
Rent Relief
Rent relief for Commercial tenants will mean no evictions, and landlords can claim commensurate land tax deductions for any rent reduction.
Rent relief for residential tenants means no evictions for the next 60 days for workers who have seen income reduced by 25%, and landlords can claim commensurate land tax deductions for any rent reduction provided. If the landlord does not pay land tax, they can claim a $1500 payment to put towards rent relief.
